Who Am I?

Hello, I'm Ryan Tan

Currently a second year student at Monash University studying Bachelors of Computer Science specialising in data science and majoring in cybersecurity.

About Me

I started programming during my spare time in the army where I was influenced by the small coding community present in my unit. Ever since then I've been interested in programming, using my spare time outside of university to experiment and play around with different projects.

I always wanted my own personal website and so why not make one as a first project? The purpose of this website was to give me a place to talk about my projects as well as a way to show off and document my credentials.

Still quite a bit of improvements to be made especially accessibility as well as simplifying the JavaScript and CSS scripts

Created an interface to look up F1 results, drivers' and constructors' championship based on the given year. It uses web scraping to collect the most up to date information from the web before displaying it on a GUI interface.

Currently, project is still in development. There are a few improvements to be made including the design of the GUI as well as getting individual driver's results and performance for given a year.

Flappy Bird AI

Created a flappy bird game using Pygames. I also implemented the use NEAT, an algorithm for evolving artificial neural networks, to create an AI that can learn how to play the game.

Project is still in development. Currently the game only works with the AI model but would like to add an option where the user is able to play the game.
